I have heard the quote, "Life is what happens when you are busy making plans." It just hasn't applied to me in a major way. Until now. We prepped the house and got it put on the market to sell. We had everything planned. We made one minor caveat in our plans, but didn't think it would deter us. Then we were asked to meet with the stake president. Dax was asked to be the bishop. The one minor (or so we thought) caveat we made in our home selling plans was that if Dax was for some reason called to be the bishop, we would take it as a sign that we should stay where we are. We just NEVER thought it would happen, so we didn't think about it. After all, we would always joke that we have too many problems to be called to something like this. :)
So we decided to stay, and take our home off the market after only a week and a half. Bet the neighbors think we're crazy. We are trusting that this is what the Lord wants for our family, and that he will bless us in ways we weren't expecting as we do His will.
We are adapting, and finding a new groove. We'll find a new one in a month and a half when baby #4 arrives.
The best news in all of this is that I get to plant my garden this year! I was dreading living in a tiny place with no yard and giving up all of my produce.
