Kindergarten "Love"

I have always thought that Hayden was the dreamiest little boy on the planet.  I'm his Mom, I am biased that way.  Apparently a few kindergarten girls agree with me.  A few weeks ago Hayden came home with his first "love note." 

 A couple of weeks later and he is coming home with piles like this almost daily:

At first it was just one girl, and then two, and now he gets notes from at least 4 different girls.  

I thought I had a couple of years before the girls caught on to his charm and good looks.  Sigh.

Back when I was in kindergarten we just chased the boys we thought were cute at recess, and we NEVER said we liked them, let alone put notes in their cubbies all. the. time. 

Not that I can blame them.  He is pretty dreamy.  I will take advantage of the years that his love notes and necklaces and kisses belong only to me.

Sickness Be Gone

Hayden is so good at sharing all of his things.  He made no exception with the sickness he brought home from school.  He was out for 3 1/2 days with a high fever and a croup-y, and passed it on to Taylee.  Luckily she didn't get nearly as sick as he did.  I took it from there, and surprisingly was as sick as Hayden.  The lethargy post-sickness was nearly as debilitating as the sickness itself!  But, we said good riddance and are all well and healthy now.  The sick times make you appreciate how healthy you normally are. 

I prefer to 'tough it out' when it comes to sickness and pain, and so we don't have many adult drugs on hand.  One night I decided I would not get any sleep at all without some medicine, so I sent Dax to the store to get some.  He came back with two huge bottles of medicine.  I laughed because I knew he was thinking in his thoughtfulness that more is better.  I used 3 doses. 

...It seems to be a trend with him.  After my PRK surgery I sent him in after some ibuprofen, because you don't see ANYTHING for a week after PRK.  When I finally got a look at it a week later I realized he bought me 2 250 ct bottles of it.  If anyone needs any, I have about 485 pills left.  I do appreciate his expression of love
