Kyra Turns 2

In all the hubbub of our weekend in Portland Kyra turned 2!  The fortunate girl actually got to celebrate 3 times!  I figure it was the one birthday of her life where her age and the day she was born are the same, so we should do 2 with a bang...even though she will never remember.

On Sunday we celebrated with my parents.  Grandma Jensen spoiled Kyra with 3 presents, including a baby stroller, which Kyra LOVES.  Grandma made a cupcake cake and had ice cream cones. We love ice cream cones.

On Monday we were with all of Dax's family and we celebrated with them as well.  My mom made a cake for us for this occasion as well.  She had this vacant look on her face the whole time she was being sung to, it was so funny.

We didn't pack any of Kyra's presents with us on our trip, so we didn't give her any presents until Tuesday when we were home.  I'm glad she was so excited about her 3 new pajama sets that she desperately needed. :)
Kyra is definitely the child that keeps me on my toes these days.  She does not usually take a nap, but will randomly fall asleep in strange places.  Luckily she sleeps very soundly at night, even when she is sick.  She is still into nearly everything, and if left alone for any length of time will create a tornado zone.  She is VERY strong willed.  She loves candy, and is always asking people to check their pockets or purses to see if they have any candy to share with her.  She is a total girl.  It is so interesting to see how they come pre-wired.  I often find her wiping a stuffed animal and trying to put a diaper on it.  She grabs her purse and tells me she is going to the store and when I ask her what she will buy says, "nanas, bread, milk, apples."  She acts shy in new situations until she settles in. She teases EVERY SINGLE PERSON she is around for more than an hour, especially if she thinks she can get a rise out of them.  She can be so tender and loves to snuggle.  She will often come to me and say, "Hold me mama."  We love our Kyra!
