Kyra is 3!

I can't believe this little girl is 3.  She has such a tender heart and is a very sensitive girl.  It's a good thing and will serve her well in life.  For her birthday all she said she wanted was a cake with frosting, true to her sweet nature, she loves her sweets.

Dax took her to the store and she chose a nail polish and chocolate, and then when they got home he painted her nails!  She was in heaven.  She forgot everything else she got for her birthday, including the princess pajamas and sparkle shoes.

It was Labor Day, so in the afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wells' house to celebrate with family.

Grandma Jensen made a Pocahontas cake for Kyra that didn't disappoint.

Kyra at 3:

  • Is the ultimate mother.  The nursery leader told me after church last week that Kyra had all 12 babies lined up and was feeding and taking care of them.
  • Has a tender heart and gets her feelings hurt easily.
  • Can still make a lot of mischief.  She is our "master of silence."  You know she is making a mess when you don't hear any noise.
  • Is a big helper.  She is always the first to volunteer when I ask for help.
  • She is also the first to ask for candy. :)
  • Had a major growth spurt over the last year:  5 inches!
  • Has a delicate relationship with meat products.  Some days she is a meat eater, and others won't have anything to do with it.  We are slowly getting better.
  • Knows her body and feelings well.  She will get herself in bed when she is tired, and will leave the room if she doesn't like how a movie makes her feel.
We don't know what we'd do without this girl.  We sure love her.
