Dax planned a surprise trip to Coeur d' Alene for our anniversary. He wanted it to be a surprise until we got in the car to go, but we weren't sure when our berries were arriving so out of necessity I made him tell me. Unfortunately our berries showed up Friday morning 45 minutes before we were going to leave, so we rushed to get the raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries planted before we left. We dropped the kids off at Dax's parents' house and were on our way. We stayed right next to the river and had a nice view. We ate dinner at a mexican restaurant and went to see the movie The Avengers. The next morning we went and hiked around Tubb's Hill right next to the boat docks. Then we went and perused through many of the local shops downtown. It was really enjoyable. We ate lunch and got some DELICIOUS ice cream before heading home. We had a wonderful time, it was so nice to get away from everything and be together, even if it was shorter than we had planned. Happy Anniversary Dax! Six years, 2 bachelor's degrees, one master's degree, 12 moves, one house, lots of hard work and nearly 3 children later, life is even more wonderful than I imagined.
He's still as handsome as the day I married him.
